Thanks, Beth & Jake. I forgot all about it.

28 on the rollers, just a great turn out....good variety is each class also. sign

Maybe next year I'll see how I stack up against Fluff. Does the trans gearing affect the dyno numbers?

As long as the dyno operator knows the machine the gearing will not effect the power numbers. I have tested the same car in different gears and have gotten numbers repeatable to .25HP over 11 runs. I had to figure out how to achieve repeatability when using the dyno for R&D work centered around component changes.. Like we did with walker's car :-)

Lots of the dyno accuracy and repeatability is in the operator, where the rear wheels are on the rollers, how tight the car is strapped, gear oil temps, etc, etc, etc....

HP is determined by weight and time, hence the roller's weight...

Took the day off, went to Lindy's this morning. Fluffs' car was there, but he wasn't. Me and Trooper pulled his motor, took it down to the crank to measure it. Bullshit. It was an 82. Mad

Now someone has to put it back together.

Why didn't you pull a head, get it to TDC and use a caliper to measure the travel of the piston to BDC??
That would have saved lots of time :-)
