I hope you pick up more than I did. I had a net gain of 5~6 hp. But you cant tell me that it was not more fun than ought to be legal.
It will be a blist for you because I think you should have alot more in there.

Bring my jets wiff you.VOLKSWAGENUT wrote:Seems like mine put out about 90 last year at all speed , Tan helped me tune my carbs and such so I think that will help a little , And would be happy to try and pic up a few HP . Thats the main reason I am coming. My car has never really been tuned and played with much . It runs fine down the road but I am sure it can be dialed in closer. Maybe even get some ideas for the future to get more power out of what I got.

Cave was very enthusiastic during his 21 dyno runs... He grinned as I punished that power plant as hard as I could!!
Some people are more uneasy than others when I hammer down o the throttle!!
Speaking of that, you guys can drive your own cars on my dyno, and I'll show you how to run it....
Who has exhaust systems with an O2 Bung welded in??? If you do have one have it pulled before the event to make sure it can be removed easily for the tuning. I can install my 02 sensor for the dyno in these bungs or I have an adaptor for those that don't have a bung.
Try to drive the cars this week to make sure there aren't going to be any Gremlins that we have to repair before testing can begin...

Did some checks on mine this morning and drove it for a while. I know Nut must have pulled his in and out of the trailer at least twice today.

Best mine has done is 110/122, home tuned with a cheap air flow meter.
I wanna see what Sweetie gets when done by a pro......do you have smelling salt for him, Jake?

Seems like that same engine in the midget's car made like 126 RWHP at allspeed or something like that and I guess that sweetie's engine has similar characteristics.
Thang needs to remove his carbs before the event and I'll set them up on the bench before we even try to run it on the rollers.. His tune is so out to lunch that I need to start from scratch so we don't chase our tails for an hour trying to jet around float height issues..

BTW- This is a pretty wild place, here atop the Mountain... I took this picture out my office window today.. He's about 6' and 250 pounds and waiting to greet the city slickers with funky hair-dos who show up without an invitation to the party :-)

I don't think it's that far out. I did have an exhaust leak that is repaired now. I'll get it fired up Wed. evening an see how it does then.
Where exactly is the drive that's easy on trailers?

The drive you want to use is just past Raby Drive, its a circle drive that I put in last year for my RV and trailer to use..

This city slicker without an invitation to the party will be Atlanta Dragway that day. Then it back to the shop to do a transplant into a 59' 356. You guys have fun though, let us all know how it turns out.
