Gene Berg shifter

Has anyone ever taking a Gene Berg shifter apart I was needed to talk the T-handle off of mine need some tips.

two set screws out press the button and lift off

Yep, I can remove and install the whole shifter, but I've not had a reason to just remove the handle.

Was going to have a custom shifter boot made for my car but we can't do it with the handle on it, I heard that it was hard to get it back together
