Charles, I don't remember the story, and I *KNOW* for a ***FACT*** I didn't title it "Dedication". It doesn't look like my writing style, and I think I pretty much remember every story I wrote for them.
Lemme take a look again.

<edit> Okay, I stand corrected. I DID write the story, I can tell because my name has been stripped off every article I did for them and replaced with "By VW Trends Staff" except for the "Preserved, Not Restored" article, which they now attribute to Dave Conklin.
If my memory serves, (and it may not, that was a long long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away) I wanted to call it something like "Overton's Over-The-Top Resto-Custom" or something like that....
But it was crap like that, changing the title, not knowing that the car was green and not blue, and not looking at the photos vs. the copy to make sure the stuff was right, running a car like Copper Jewel in Black and White, and just generally changing crap with no regard to the owner, or the writer or photographer of the story, and it all being changed by Ryan, that convinced me that I needed to find another place to work. I **KNOW** I was gone from there when "someone" tried to take the Dyno Day and make it their own, I got more than a few phone calls from guys with the names like Scott, Jason, Charles, Louis, and a few others, wanting to meet Ryan at the Classic, which a few of them did.
Anyway, while I don't remember the story all that well, it must have been me, because I am now "VW Trends Staff" instead of my real name.
Sorry for the confusion.

Yeah, Ryan couldn't do anything about the 60,000 copies that were printed out and mailed, or bought, but if you click on the link for vwtrendsweb, who does it say wrote the story? Ryan took my name off everything he could when I moved over to hot VWs, all the Tech articles, Event coverage, Features, everything he could, he stripped my name off of.

Not butt hurt at all, just wanted to clarify stuff.
Hell, I used VW Trends, at the end, *ON* my end, when I ran out out toilet paper.
But I did used to really hate people changing stuff of mine, without me knowing about it, or not giving me a chance to say "look here, it says the color is Porsche India Red, and I shot the car, and that's what color it is, so why is it sh*t brown?"
Oh, wait, maybe I shouldn't use "sh*t brown" as an example, don't want anyone to get all butt hurt ..
