VW Parade In Chattanooga - Oct. 25th

Help us celebrate the coming Volkswagen factory in Chattanooga by participating in the largest VW parade in the US! October 25th will be the kick-off of Oktoberfest at the Chattanooga Market. The parade will commence at 1:00 PM on Saturday. This event is open to any type of VW: air-cooled or water-cooled, new or old. Anything with a VW badge is welcome.

The parade will tour downtown Chattanooga and end at the First Tennessee Pavilion to kick off the festivities. All participants will receive a frameable certificate with the City of Chattanooga seal, signed and numbered. Be part of this historic event in Chattanooga and join fellow VW owners from all over the Southeast! Saturday, October 25th:
8:00am: OLPH 5k Ram Run Registration
9:30am: 5k run begins
10:00am: Chattanooga Market opens
10:30am: 1 mile fun run begins
11:00am: Line up for VW Parade
1pm-2pm: VW Parade
11am-11pm: Live music and entertainment

Sunday, October 26th:
12pm-5pm: Chattanooga Market opens, featuring live music and entertainment

We talked about it... seeing how we will be in Chat. Fri night...But I just don't know... I prolly won't feel like next day.

This was a very cool event. Kind of a quick put together parade through downtown Chattanooga for VW building an assembly plant there.

192 VW's showed up. Not too bad. Cruized from Market Street to the river to UTC stadium area & Octoberfest.

Diesel motor installed...runs on used vegetable oil. Smelled like a deep fryer.

Nice pictures Tan. I wish there was something like that when I was staying there for 5 weeks some years ago.

Looks like a great day ! and yes I know the green car on the flyer....The ruby red one never belonged to anybody I know..... It just stayed in bama a few times...
