I'm looking at getting some 7" rims for the rear, but I cant decide if I should go 15" or 16". I bolted up my buddies 15x7 with 205/60 and it looked sick!

Stay with 15s for sure. I am thinking on different tire size on mine in the rear also . whats evrybody running? I like the hight of a 165 but I want to have them a little wider. I just dont like the fat tire look in the back.

If it's low like Kx3.. 135's front and with a baby motor.... like the same guys no bigger than 165's in the rear.... (Sorry 55 if you want to go that slow buy a bus....)

Now for the rest.. ONLY BRM's 135 or 145 front (i have both ) with 205/65-15's on BRM's in the rear..

I did have 215's but they hit the fenders.... On my half breed 74 IRS61 taillight68rearfendered64bodyragtopaftermarkethoodvertdecklidnotchgreen painttype3rearhubed Bug...... What a Face See if the newbies can figure all that out

I'm gonna run 205's just trying to figure out to get a pair of 15x7 or 16x7 fuchs. The 15's look great, but I kinda list the 15 front 16 rear look.

I have 145 front, 205 rear, both on 5 1/2 15's.
Rears fit nicely with the short swing rear.....with room for more in the rear. Just like the front & rear to set the same in the wheel wells.

A set of BTR wheels at Lindy's looked nice.....non-bead lock aluminum, 4" front & 7" rear.

Still wish I had kept the BRM's. :(

Post  Fifty - Five Sat 22 Nov 2008, 12:50 am

I came across some real 16's but I think they are chrome and they got makeup on for $300. and I found some repro 15's that need repolishing for $125. I would really like to keep part numbered wheels but I guess the repros would work till I find some real ones. Now my next dilema is if 205/65 will rub. I'm thinking with the offset on the 7's they'll be fine, I know 205/60 work no worries. how much will the taller tire affect the acceleration? I ain't got much at all now as it is.
