What's the odds....

My first bug was a yellow 71.

39 years later my first bus is a yellow 71.

The only thing you see in the rear view.

Next on coming home is a 65 walk thru 11 window project. Cool

It will come down....real easy to do.
This is the new daily driver, little stuff to check over to bring it up to my standards.
Big stuff comes later after I get caught up on paying projects.

From the 1969 manual above...
VW calls it a Station Wagon...as a kid,we always called our new '68 the Bus,some said Transporter...

For my 2 cents I think bays are cool with some altitude adj. Maybe if a guy could get the dash board looking a little more retro / paint work/ possibly older steering wheel?? And besides the prices aren't in the sky like splits cheers cheers

Looks like a nice type 2 you got there Jerry. It's not so easy to find anyone over here anymore in good condition. But anyway yellow is not favourite colour No

Like I said, it will get the spindles in the front and a notch in the rear. Has some rust bubbles low.....that's to fix for later. This is the driver....the 65 comes home after BAP, that will be the cool one. Cool
